Josh Kubicki is a leading legal strategist, educator, and advisor with a pragmatic approach to innovation in law. 

Known for cutting through the noise, he has written over 230 articles on the use of generative AI in the legal profession, which he shares with 5,600+ subscribers via his newsletter, Brainyacts. 

Josh is a contributing author to AI and the Legal Profession, where he wrote chapters on AI’s impact on profitability and the foundational aspects of legal AI.  

Currently a faculty member at Maurer School of Law, Josh specializes in teaching the business of law and the application of AI within the legal field. 

He previously founded the award-winning Legal Innovation and Entrepreneurship program at Richmond School of Law. 

As a hands-on researcher, Josh actively advises California and Florida regulators on the responsible use of AI in law and works directly with clients to implement real-world solutions. 

He has also taught over 1000 lawyers (junior and senior) as well as 100s of legal business leaders the foundational and practical skills of using generative AI.  

With over 20 years of experience, Josh has built services and products for legal teams and businesses, drawing from his expertise in design, management science, and strategy execution. 

His past roles include Chief Strategy Officer for an AmLaw 100 firm and advisor to legal startups and CEOs of alternative legal service providers. He also co-founded the first business design studio focused on the legal market.
