Richard Peterson is Vice President of Data Strategy and Innovation at Diligent, a leader in modern governance, risk and compliance.  

He is responsible for bringing forward Data, AI and ESG initiatives and strategy.  

Richard joined Diligent in 2023 with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, including various roles in financial services and strategy.

Prior to joining Diligent, Richard was leading capital markets strategy at FIS. He has also held positions in investment banking at JPMorgan, Guggenheim and Citigroup. 

Richard holds an MBA from the University of Chicago in Finance and Economics and a BBA from Emory University in Finance and Management.
