Nancy Greene is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Miles & Stockbridge, an Am Law 200 firm with more than 200 lawyers and offices in Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia and New York.  

Nancy leads the firm and serves as the steward of its vision, core strategies and growth. She recently led the firm through its merger with Krooth & Altman, a preeminent real estate finance law firm in Washington, D.C. 

The merger, which enhances Miles & Stockbridge’s ability to offer an exceptional, full-service finance and real estate practice for its clients and professionals, closed and became effective on December 31, 2024. 

The merger follows on the heels of Miles & Stockbridge’s 2023 expansion into New York with the opening of a Midtown Manhattan office and growth news in Richmond, Virginia, including an office expansion.  

In addition to leading the firm, Nancy maintains her thriving finance and real estate practice, focusing in the areas of acquisitions, development, leasing and lending. 

She represents regional and national financial institutions, property owners and tenants, commercial developers and health care organizations.  

As both chairman and a working principal at the firm, Nancy frequently collaborates with other Miles & Stockbridge lawyers who have deep experience in complementary legal disciplines. 

She works tirelessly to bring together lawyers from diverse practices and backgrounds to develop the sort of deep understanding of our clients and their businesses that helps serve their broader needs more effectively and efficiently.  

Nancy is active in numerous regional and national real estate industry and civic associations. She was elected chairman in 2018 and is the first woman to lead Miles & Stockbridge in its history.
