Rebecca Pasternak is a Legal Innovation Advisor for Mayer Brown LLP, where she leads evaluations of emerging legal technologies and drives engagement, adoption, and change management efforts for attorneys and business services teams to create better ways of working. In her role, she supports the Innovation & Strategy Department’s goal to optimize accessibility and usability of the Firm’s technology portfolio, with a strong focus on privacy best practices and the appropriate adoption and use of generative AI tools. Holding a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, a M.L.I.S from St. John’s University, and a CIPP/US certification, Rebecca began her career practicing transactional law before transitioning to a knowledge management and research role at Skadden, Arps. Thereafter, Rebecca worked for Bloomberg Law, specializing in product development and bridging the gap between technology and practice. Most recently, prior to joining Mayer Brown, Rebecca worked as Knowledge Management Counsel for Redesign Health, a venture studio, where she designed and implemented a knowledge management strategy for the studio and its portfolio companies.
