FMB: Empowered Women

Freeman Means Business in association with Inside Practice present:

#EmpoweredWomen2021

April 6th, 7th, 8th, 2021

Overview:

Why is storytelling important?

Stories have a transformative power to allow us to see the world in a different way than we do if we just encounter it on our own. Stories are an entry point to understanding a different experience of the world.

Storytelling – presenting a different perspective of the world – is important when it comes to connecting with each other. It gives us an opportunity to learn from another person’s experience and it can shape, strengthen or challenge our opinions and values. When a story catches our attention and engages us, we are more likely to absorb the message and meaning within it than if the same message was presented simply in facts and figures.

When someone tells their own personal story, we catch a glimpse of a view of the world that may be slightly or radically different from our own. When we see the world as they see it, or walk in their shoes, the experience can inspire empathy.

Speaking Facutly:

What Previous Attendees Say:

To invest in others is to invest in oneself and that is exactly what attendees, speakers, sponsors and the conference organizers did at #EmpoweredWomen2019.

We committed to ourselves and each other in a way that has never been done at a conference in which I’ve participated. Everyone benefited. I’m looking forward to #EmpoweredWomen2020 with the same energy as we continue to listen to, learn from, advise, mentor, sponsor, refer or hire one another.

Gina F. Rubel, Esq., Founder and CEO Furia Rubel Communications, Inc.

There are countless events and conferences that vie for attention, but making an investment in the EmpoweredWomen2019 conference was one of the best I had made in recent years.  The caliber of female speakers was unparalleled and the tangible take-aways we all received have been put into practice daily.

The conference was more than simply listening and learning - it was a day filled will learning how to support one another more constructively and committing ourselves to the betterment of the women around us.  Since speaking at the conference, I have heard from dozens of attendees, who felt encouraged by what they heard and who shared stories of how the sessions have impacted their own personal interactions and careers.
