BIO

Nick started his career practicing as a commercial litigator, where he was ranked as a “Rising Star” by the Law Society Gazette. He has spent the past 14 years working at the intersection of knowledge management and innovation, where he has led or participated multiple industry award winning innovation projects and initiatives.

Nick has professional certifications in Strategy and Innovation, Change Management, Process Improvement, and Design Thinking. He is a member of several key committees supporting KM and innovation in the legal industry, and of the Civil Justice Council Futures Group, as well as mentoring a number of prominent law tech start-ups and scale-ups.

Nick brings with him a wealth of experience leading a global team of Innovation Managers and Engineers, and a passionate belief in the organisational value of high functioning KM. He will lead Freeths’ highly experienced Knowledge & Innovation team, and help to enhance the firm’s proud Freethinking culture by developing the skills and resources needed to deliver impactful innovation. Freeths’ strong business performance and growth trajectory is underpinned by excellent strategic legal advice, and high value legal services. Nick will help the firm build on that platform, by bringing together the technologies, people, and processes that enable differentiated and innovative legal service offerings in an increasingly complex, competitive, and digital-first world.
